Mariachi Sirenas

Mariachi Sirenas proudly celebrates and preserves the rich tradition of mariachi music in Chicago. As the city’s first all-women mariachi ensemble, we are honored to stand among a community of talented, passionate women dedicated to uplifting and sharing the folkloric arts of Latin America. 

Founded and led by Ibet Herrera, Mariachi Sirenas was born from a vision of bringing women together through the power of music, culture and community in her hometown. With the invaluable support, musicianship and dedication of its founding members, what began as a dream has grown into a vibrant ensemble that honors our heritage while inspiring future generations of musicians. 

With every performance, we celebrate the strength, artistry and resilience of women, while proudly carrying forward the traditions of Mexico.
